A couple of positive articles have recently appeared online which cover next week’s release of the third and final box set.

Firstly, The Times has reproduced 3 of the liner notes from famous fans which included with the albums, and today, Billboard broaches the on-going saga of a reunion of the 5 for some live shows.

Phil on UK TV this Friday

The Pub Landlord aka Al Murray British comedian Al Murray, most famous for his Pub Landlord alter-ego will have Phil as guest on his show, Al Murray’s Happy Hour.

The program will air this Friday, September 12th at 10pm (GMT) on ITV 1.

When Genesis were finally reunited with frontman/drummer Phil Collins for last year’s Turn It On Again tour, it was hardly because anyone needed the money.

The band have sold more than 150 million records since the early Seventies, and Collins pays himself an annual salary that, in recent years, has exceeded £20 million. Nor was there any new material to promote.

Genesis: ‘The special chemistry’ of an awesome supergroup

When the briefly re-formed pop superstars Genesis played a massive free concert in front of 500,000 fans at the ancient Circo Massimo in central Rome last summer, even the Pope lent an ear.

It’s not entirely clear whether Benedict XVI thought he was in for a Biblical evening of Adam and Eve and the Great Flood or a night of mitre-rocking music.

But when the sun went down and the band came on, His Holiness must have been left in little doubt.

‘They say there were 500,000 at the concert, but to honest, if you were in Rome that night, you were there… you had no choice,’  said Phil Collins, Genesis drummer, singer and greatest showman.

‘I’ve got a friend who works in The Vatican - which is a mile or so away across the river - and he told me that it was pretty loud even over there and that everyone opened their windows to let the music in.’

Genesis Links With Wal-Mart For Reunion Tour DVD

Genesis deemed its 2007 reunion tour worthy of a three-disc DVD set because, according to Phil Collins, “we thought something like this, which may never happen again, was worth documenting just in case something good happened.”

“When In Rome 2007,” due out next month on Rhino and exclusively through Wal-Mart, certainly gives Genesis fans plenty of opportunities to remember the tour.
