A couple of positive articles have recently appeared online which cover next week’s release of the third and final box set.
Firstly, The Times has reproduced 3 of the liner notes from famous fans which included with the albums, and today, Billboard broaches the on-going saga of a reunion of the 5 for some live shows.

UK magazine Record Collector has given the 1970-1975 box set a magnificent 5 star review!
A flower? The whole florists!
The Genesis reissue project has been, on the whole, faultless (unless you’re a fan of Calling All Stations, that is). Here is the crowning glory, their first five Charisma albums, aka the Peter Gabriel ones, remastered in 5.1 with celebrity sleevenotes and all the bells and whistles imaginable in a big beautiful green box.
Let’s look first at what we know. Although the maypole dance-mosh of The Knife continues to overshadow the rest of Trespass, it is full of naïve, pastoral charm. The ambition of Nursery Cryme (with new members Steve Hackett and Phil Collins replacing Ant Phillips and John Mayhew) isn’t found on the well-known key tracks. For that look at the overlooked cuts, such as Seven Stones and its soulful, mournful edge.
From the drone of Tony Banks’ mellotron and the nagging insistency of Mike Rutherford’s bass on Watcher Of The Skies, Foxtrot ushered in a new Genesis. Obviously, the rather large elephant in the album’s corner – the side-long Supper’s Ready – is still the greatest single piece of music this line-up recorded. Read more »

You can now check in on EMI’s online promotion for the 1970-1975 box set.
This very lavish website contains lots of areas to explore including 9 full audio track and various video clips from the reissue interviews and bonus features that are to be included on the DVDs. You are also able to browse the booklets that come with the albums as well.
You will need fast broadband speed (particularly to view the video clips) and the flash plugin for your browser.

Today EMI records released full length audio sample and partial video clips that’s going to appear in the forthcoming 1970-1975 box set due out next month.

As previously reported, Tony Banks’ 1979 debut album, A Curious Feeling, which is getting the remix treatment by Nick Davis is nearing completion.
On the official Genesis forum a few days back, Nick mentions that he is down to the last 2 tracks. In July, Geoff Callingham digitally transferred the original 24 track tapes, so that Nick could work on new stereo and 5.1 remixes.
Still no news on potential release dates.
