Dad and son working together again?

This from Dave Kerzner of Sonic Reality, whose company helped with some of the instrumentation for last year’s Genesis tour; Phil layed down some drums and drum fills for a track in February, for an as yet undisclosed artist. He (Dave) says in a forum post;

Anyway… this track is cool. I’d say it is maybe the most progressive
thing Phil has played in a long time! I mean besides playing some
classic Genesis tracks on their last tour (which was really great to
see). In this thing which I can’t talk about he does this one fill that
is outrageous! I mean like No Self Control on acid. I’ll be able to
talk more about it in about 6 months when this is released. Maybe
sooner.

The ‘undisclosed’ artist could well be Simon Collins, Phil’s son, who has been in Las Vegas with producer Kevin Churko, working on his 3rd album release. Phil also paid a visit at some point according to this recent photo (Collins Jr looking a lot like his Dad did when he was around the same age!) takenMirror image or what? from Simon’s Myspace page.

Phil provided backing vocals on his son’s debut album, All Of Who You Are, released back in 1999.
